As we wrap up another successful display of football throughout San Diego County, Week 6 of the Prep Pigskin Report comes to a close. It was quite the journey for the Holtville Vikings as they had to travel roughly 140 miles to take on the Escondido Charter White Tigers.
The Vikings made their quest worthwhile as they took down the White Tigers with a final score of 48-13.
It was the quarterback, Noah Jongeward, who got the offense going early for the Vikings when he ripped off a 42-yard touchdown in the first quarter. It was then the running back for the Vikings, Andy Pasqual, who followed with a 21-yard touchdown run on the next drive.
For the opposing White Tigers, they scored their first points since Week 1, when Holtville fumbled in their own end zone, forcing the defense to jump on top of the ball for 6 points. Another impressive play for Escondido Charter was when Georgiy Begaliyev hooked up with Ivan Rubio for a 60-yard touchdown, which cut the lead for Holtville to two scores.
However, the scoring production of the White Tigers was not enough to keep up with the Vikings. Holtville had too much to offer on offense as Andy Pasqual rushed for 3 touchdowns and over 100 yards.

PREVIEW: The season seems to be flying by as we are already in Week 6 of high school football in San Diego County. This week, the Prep Pigskin Report will be covering 22 games and those highlights can be seen as usual at 10:30 p.m. on KUSI.
One of the matchups, in particular, will be the Vikings from Holtville High School taking on the White Tigers from Escondido Charter High School. Last week, the White Tigers played at Orange Glenn as the Patriots' opponent and lost that game 33-0. This week, they will ironically be the home team at Orange Glenn High School, as that is the current home field for Escondido Charter.
For the visiting Vikings, they will be looking to even up their record from 2-3 to 3-3 as they are coming off of a loss last week to San Diego High School. It will be quite the road trip coming from Holtville, California, so the Vikings are looking to make the journey well worth their time.
