Posted: Updated:

San Pasqual earned another win against Castle Park at their homecoming game this Friday, with an end score of 39-0.

The first good play came from an interception by San Pasqual's Josh Nolan, when Castle Park's Eleazar Cruz threw a 20 yard pass into the end zone. After preventing the touchdown, Nolan returned, running the ball back 17 yards. Golden Eagles Westin Erdman and Cameron Young scored the team's first touchdown, with a 24 yard pass from Erdman to Young. Eagle quarterback Westin Erdman scored his first rushing touchdown running 6 yards into the end zone, bringing the score up to 12-0. Eagles Saud Carillo brought the score to 18-0 with his 20 yard touchdown run. Starting with a hand off, Connor Contreras scored a 7 yard touchdown run. Erdman came back into play to finish off the quarter with a 43 yard touchdown run. The half ended at 32-0, San Pasqual.

Golden Eagles Raymund Rodriguez scored San Pasqual's final touchdown in the third quarter with a 38 yard touchdown run. This rounded off the game at 39-0, San Pasqual.

Earning yet another win, San Pasqual is making a name for themselves this season. Better luck next week, Castle Park.

PREVIEW:

This Friday, be sure to tune in for a non-conference game between Castle Park High School (0-5) and San Pasqual High School (3-2) at San Pasqual High School in Escondido.

The Castle Park Trojans, who sit 4th on the Metro Pacific League, haven’t had much luck in Chula Vista the past two weeks. Their game at Chula Vista High School on September 15th ended with Chula Vista beating them 28-7, and their home game last Friday turned into a blowout against Hilltop High School, with Hilltop dominating 50-14. We’ll surely be watching for junior quarterback Diego Martinez to be throwing more touchdown passes.

The Golden Eagles hosted their first conference game in the Valley League last Friday against the Fallbrook Warriors. Using the homecoming high of the night, San Pasqual came out as the winner at 24-10. We’ll be looking for more good runs from quarterback Nick Hurst, who last game set his team up for a touchdown with a 25-yard run.

Neither team is undefeated, but does Castle Park have what it takes to achieve their first win of the season? Or will San Pasqual gain another win, making them a force to be reckoned with? Find out on the Prep Pigskin Report Friday at 10:30 pm and follow @Redjacketarmy on Twitter for updates throughout the game.
