National City Mile of Cars South Bay Game of the Week: Olympian Eagles 54, Bonita Vista Barons 7

     The Week 7 South Bay Game of the Week features the Bonita Vista Barons (0-6) traveling to Olympian High School to take on the Eagles (3-3). In the end the Eagles boost their record to 4-3.
    In the first quarter Albert Robinson makes a nice end around run into the end zone to give the Eagles the lead.
    Minutes later Treyvion Davies runs it in to make it 14-0 Eagles.
    At the start of the second quarter Nico Mendoza tosses a perfectly thrown 70-yard touchdown pass to Mikael Tyler to give the Eagles a 21-0 lead.
     Minutes later Arnold Escano runs it in to make it 28-0 Eagles. At the end of the quarter Treyvion Davies gallops 50 yards for his second touchdown run of the game.
     The Olympian defense steps up when they force a Baron fumble that is scooped up by Jared Desmond who runs it in for a touchdown.
     The Barons get on the scoreboard when Kevin Kozar throws a 60-yard pass to Davon Linear.
    The final score is Olympian 54, Bonita Vista 7.
     It's important to note Olympian has an awesome band...160-plus members under the direction of Eric Mabrey.  What a show they put on tonight! He has crafted a fine musical composition called the 'Daft Punk' medley which they perform so beautifully.

The Week 7 South Bay Game of the Week features the Bonita Vista Barons (0-6) traveling to Olympian to take on the Eagles (3-3).

On offense the Eagles have a fine Quarterback in Nico Mendoza who has a great throwing arm.  So far he has thrown 11 touchdown passes. On defense the Eagles have two very talented tacklers in Rock Gonzalez who has wracked up 51 solo tackles and Jarod Desmond who has 50 solo tackles. Rock also has six interceptions.  

The Eagles also have a very talented receiver in Isaiah Williams who has 29 catches for 412 yards. The Eagles are lead by Head Coach Norm Van Nostrand who is a real veteran coach having headed up the program at Castle Park High School before coming to Olympian. He has really built a solid football program that is relatively new as Olympian opened its doors just over ten years ago.

It's important to note Olympian has an awesome band...160-plus members under the direction of Eric Mabrey. He has crafted a fine musical composition called the 'Daft Punk' medley which they perform so beautifully.
