REVIEW: Its Homecoming night for the Hornets as a number of alumni and NFL stars revisit their alma-mater by showing support for the high school that groomed their professional athletic career.
However, after a very long and grueling matchup between Lincoln and Scripps Ranch, the Hornets blow out the Falcons 61-0. 40 of these points were achieved in just the first half of the contest, revealing that the Hornets showed up on their Homecoming night ready to eat some live loon.
Starting off for the Hornet dominated game, Utah commit, Kenyon Sims, runs for a 37 yard TD within the first minute of the game, 7-0 Hornets. Three minutes later, Sims runs again for an astonishing 79 yard TD, 13-0 Hornets.
After Sims rushes for 116 yards in just the first seven minutes of the first quarter, QB Asante Hartzog fires the ball to Jailen Bailey for a 34 yard TD, 20-0 Hornets. At the end of a seeming like—never ending first quarter, Lincoln yet again fires back as wide receiver Da’ Jon Thomas catches and runs for a 46 yard TD, 33-0 Hornets. But the hive is not done yet! Have I mentioned Kenyon Sims? Sims rushes again for another 52 yard TD, 40-0 Hornets. Jailen Bailey gets after it again by receiving a 28 yard TD pass from Hartzog, 47-0 Hornets.
As mentioned before, Utah commit Kenyon Sims, finishes out this gaping final score of 61-0 with a total of 5 carries and 224 yards!

PREVIEW: This week seven matchup has the Scripps Ranch Falcons traveling to face the Lincoln Hornets. The Falcon’s are coming off a very strong showing against Coronado, gaining their first win of the season. Hopefully, their first win will give them the edge they need defeat the angry Hornets whilst on their home field.
It’s homecoming weekend for the Hornet’s as they look to welcome back their alumni. The Hornets gain the opportunity to look back at some superstars that have made this team so reputable. More noticeably, is former NFL running back and Heisman winner, Marcus Allen.
Senior, Kenyon Sims, will look to continue his own dominance on the field for the Hornets. Sims is averaging 7.6 yards a carry and has 10 touchdowns so far on the season. Asante Hartzog, the Hornets quarterback, is averaging 220 passing yards per game. This dynamic duo has put up a large amount of points on the season, which has reflected in their 4-1 record.
Scripps Ranch had a great defensive showing in their matchup last week shutting out Coronado. Their offense appeared to be clicking, as they scored their season high of 42 points within this game. In the matchup this week, the Falcons will need to have total control of the football in order to keep their defense thriving. The powerful running back and quarterback combo of the Hornets will without a doubt put the Falcons defense to the test.
