This is the Pacific League Opener for both schools. Both teams have a (2-3) record and looking for their third win of the season. Army- Navy is coming off a loss against Classical Academy 21-14. On the other side of the field, Tri-City Christian is also coming off a loss but against La Jolla Country Day 32-8. Head coach Shane Goodwin is in his 3rd year with the Eagles. Goodwin says Marciano Wills is his go to clutch receiver. Wills spent his freshman year at Rancho Buena Vista where he didn't start or really play much at all. Wills has 154 receiving yards so far this season.

Tri-City Christian has around 208 students who attend the school and around 36 athletes of the football team. Goodwin spoke on how the Eagles have had a tough non league schedule, playing teams like Carnegie, Coronado and La Jolla Country Day. Goodwin said since their team has played tougher opponents, one of the things they struggle with is the athletes over compensate and do too much and try new things when going up against tougher teams and that for this game they need to stick to what they know and have practice in order to secure the win against the Warriors.
