Rancho Bernardo Broncos 24, Vista Panthers 7

On a spookish Friday the 13th night the Rancho Bernardo Broncos won a league game on the road at Vista verse the Panthers 24-7. The Broncos started fast, first on defense with a three and out and then running back Tahj Martin took over with big chunk plays marching down the field. He capped off a big drive with a nice jump cut and sprint up the middle for 18 yards to put Rancho Bernardo up 7 to 0. Vista would try and Answer after moving in to Broncos territory they would go for it on 4th down and get stopped by the Rancho Bernardo defense. Quarterback Noah Morris would start to dissect Vista defense finding his tight end Dustin Connelly wide open up the seam, and almost fumbled the ball into the end zone but held on to complete a 40 yard touchdown pass Broncos would lead by 14 to end the 1st quarter. 

Next Panther possession after moving down field Rancho Bernardo would get a huge sack to knock vista out of field goal range and force a punt. As the Broncos would move at will down the field in a two minute drill it would set up a 45 yard field goal to end half and lead 17-0. 

Second half starts off slow for Rancho Bernardo after a few penalties the Broncos would be forced to punt and Vista would muff the punt and would be recovered by Rancho Bernardo. Noah Morris would not let this turnover go to waste as he would finish the drive with a 9 yard touchdown to Malcolm Ross-Turner to make the lead 24-0. The Panthers would add on late in the 4th quarter with a 10 yard run by David Flores for a final score of 24-7. 

Vista will now play at Poway while Rancho Bernardo will visit Westview. Be sure to tune in to  the Prep Pigskin Report for all those highlight and more only on KUSI at 10:30. Pm. 

PREVIEW: With league play in full swing we have a week 8 Palomar league match up that won’t disappoint with the Rancho Bernardo Broncos visiting the Vista Panthers. The Broncos are (1-5) on the Season with they’re lone win coming in league play verse Mt. Carmel. Coming off a tough loss to the Mission Hills Grizzlies 42-0 Rancho Bernardo will look to lean on senior Malcolm Ross-Turner who leads the team in receptions (17) and yards (216). Ross-Turner will also show off his versatility and play a little defense with 7 tackles and 1 Int. Two juniors on that Broncos Defense share the lead in tackles (47) one being Jonny Tanner and the other Luke Manos. 

The Vista Panthers are (2-4) on season and (1-2) in league play which makes this a must win game to have a chance at a league title. After a dominating win over Del Norte 52-0, the Panthers will want to keep the momentum going senior Dominique Hall leads the team with interceptions (2) sprinkle in 9 tackles and kick off return capabilities the versatile player has the tools to lock down for the Vista Defense.
