Posted: Updated:

This Friday Nights matchup takes us out to La Jolla, the Country Day Torreys hosted the Orange Glen Patriots. The Torrey’s were celebrating homecoming and they sure came to play in front of their home crowd. The Torrey quarterback Ej Kreutzman started his offense with a first half explosion for five touchdowns. The first two touchdowns came via the ground with QB keepers from inside the five. Later, Kreutzman connected with Alex Cho for three touchdowns in the first half. Cho scored from fifty, 15 and then his last touchdown, the second quarter was about to end, from thirty-five yards out. The Patriot defense had no answer for the Torrey’s spread offense that was looking similar to the Chip Kelly spread offense. The Torrey’s defense was on fire tonight as well holing the Patriot offense shutout until after halftime where the Patriots quarterback Cael Patterson broke off a fifty-three yard run into the end zone to break the shutout. In the end, the Torrey’s were too much for the Patriots as the final score comes to La Jolla Country Day 42, Orange Glen Patriots 12.
