Very cool nights and rather cool days will dominate the weather in San Diego as January fades into February and Ground Hog Day arrives on Super Bowl Sunday. Any real warm up seems a week or more away.
Meanwhile the days will be mostly sunny through Friday, but increasing cloudiness and the risk of a few brief light showers or brief light rain is predicted for Saturday and Sunday.
Here is the detailed forecast for San Diego for the next seven days, issued National Weather Service Tuesday afternoon:
Tonight: A 20 percent chance of showers. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 44. South wind around 5 mph.
Wednesday: A 10 percent chance of showers. Partly cloudy, with a high near 57. South wind 5 to 10 mph becoming northwest. Winds could gust as high as 20 mph.
Wednesday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 35. North wind between 5 and 15 mph, with gusts as high as 25 mph.
Thursday: Sunny, with a high near 65. East wind 5 to 10 mph becoming north.
Thursday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 41. North wind between 5 and 10 mph.
Friday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 62.
Friday Night: Mostly cloudy, with a low around 44.
Saturday: A slight chance of showers. Partly sunny, with a high near 61.
Saturday Night: A chance of showers. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 46.
