Tornadoes hit nation's upper Midwest

Severe storms are continuing tonight in the nation's upper Midwest. Several have spawned powerful tornadoes. Some of them were videoed by storm chasers, and one got up close and personal with a twister in Western Minnesota and he ended up with the dramatic video of this F-5 storm with winds of at least 200 miles per hour. I really enjoyed this item on the ICECAP.us website Friday. The heart of the report is that the NOAA announcement that the last ten years has been the warmest decade ever is based on a tiny fraction of a degree of warming that is in line with the natural warming of an interglacial period. Also, the recent warming less than makes up for the cooling in the previous decade and ignores historical much warmer periods . Read more »
