1/22/19 Boys Basketball: Poway 58, Westview 35

The battle for 1st place in the Palomar League went to the Poway Titans, as they take down Westview 58-35 on Tuesday night.
The Wolverines tried their hardest to stay with Poway early on, even tying up the game in the 2nd quarter, but eventually, the stingy Titans defense picked it up.
While Poway was making the layups and sinking the jumpers, the Wolverines had a hard time even getting near the basket all night; in the 2nd half alone, they had 4 shot clock violations.
The Titans got a game-high 13 points from sophomore Center Cole Stephens, 12 points from Adam Sevier, and 11 from Garrett Pyle.
Michael Grendahl scored a team-high 11 for the Wolverines, while Ricardo Hopping had 10.
