1/29/30 Girls Basketball: Bonita Vista 79, Mater Dei 58

Bonita Vista hosting Mater Dei in a battle of two undefeated Metro Mesa League teams.

The game also features a “Purple Out” organized by Nicole Hill and Emma Schroeder, as well as a pregame moment of silence to honor the lives of those lost in the helicopter accident that killed Kobe and Gianna “Gigi” Bryant.

The visiting Crusaders are led by juniors Kayanna Spriggs (16 points) and Teanna Alaman (9 points).

The Lady Barons are led by Sylena Peterson who scorse 20 points, and junior captain Julia Cosalan who finishes with a game high 21 points.

With the win, Bonita Vista improves to 5-0 and league while Mater Dei drops to 12-7 overall with the loss.
