Update: Man shot and killed in Lincoln Park identified by authorities

SAN DIEGO (KUSI) – Friday – Police identified a 38-year-old man Friday who was fatally wounded in a shooting in San Diego’s Lincoln Park neighborhood.

A second man suffered non-life-threatening gunshot wounds, Del Toro said.

Investigators determined a gunman stepped out of a late 1990s burgundy Honda Accord or a similar vehicle, fired several shots, then sped away.

Responding officers found Horne, who had suffered a chest wound, in the street, Del Toro said. Paramedics kept him alive as he was taken to a hospital, but he later died.

The second victim was also taken to a hospital, Del Toro said.

Police described the gunman as black, about 6 feet 3 inches tall and wearing a dark hooded sweatshirt and dark pants. He was last seen driving east in the 4900 block of Manomet Street.
