The Palomar Comets came out on top in their shootout with Mt. San Antonio College on Saturday, winning 38-35.
Palomar got explosive plays from both their offense and defense; quarterback Connor Curry finished the day 20/32 for 281 yards and a touchdown. On the ground, Curry rushed for 3 touchdowns on 89 yards rushing.
On the other side of the ball, former Mission Hills Grizzly Chris Calhoun picked off Mt. SAC twice, returning one 95 yards for the pick-6. Mounties quarterback Steven Nava finished the day 28/44 for 334 yards with 4 touchdowns, but also had the 2 interceptions.
The Comets (4-3, 1-1) travel to El Camino to take on the Warriors on Saturday.
