11/10/18 Boy’s H2O Polo: Canyon Crest Academy 8, Point Loma 6

The Canyon Crest Academy Boys Water Polo team won their first Division I CIF Title in school history with a 8-6 win over Pt. Loma on Saturday evening.

The Ravens jumped out to a 4-1 lead in the 1st quarter and never looked back.

The Pointers battled back to make it a 1-goal game several times, but each time, Canyon Crest responded.

For 14 straight games this season, Pt. Loma scored in the double-digits, but on this night, Ravens Goalie, Bryce Elsner held them to just 6 goals.

The Senior Captain finished with 23 saves. Noah Baird led the CCA offense with a game-high, 3 goals, including back-to-back goals in the 3rd quarter.

Dylan Chmelka also had a hat-trick for the Ravens. Chris Ball led the Pointers with 2 goals.

Canyon Crest Academy moves on to play Servite in the Division II So Cal Regional Playoffs on Friday.
