12/28/19 SDFNL San Diego Showcase: Red Starz 23, Blue Starz 18

Let’s go out to Mira Mesa High School for the SDFNL San Diego Showcase Game, the Red Starz taking on the Blue Starz.

Blue Starz with the ball in the second, but it’s the Red Starz defense coming up with the strip sack fumble, and Luke Simanek out of Santana picks it up and takes it to the house; that gives the Red Starz the 17-6 lead.

Defensive touchdowns seem to be a trend, but this time it’s Ced’el Gregory out of Mission Bay who gets the interception and goes 80 yards for the Blue Starz score, giving them the 18-17 lead.

But that lead wouldn’t last long as Scripps Ranch’s Rashad Griffin takes the hand-off and goes 25 yards for the Red Starz score; they win it 23-18.
