Rides4ALZ: Hundreds of motorcyclists will ride to raise money for Alzheimer’s San Diego

Sunday, July 15, hundreds of motorcyclists are expected to ride 100 miles to raise money for Alzheimer’s San Diego.

Dani Ruberti was live in Kearny Mesa to check out the bikes and hear the stories.

Rides4ALZ is a 100-mile motorcycle ride to benefit Alzheimer’s San Diego, one of the largest rides in the county. This year, they expect 300 motorcyclists to participate.

According to Alzheimer’s San Diego, there are nearly 85,000 San Diegans living with Alzheimer’s disease or other dementias, and more than 250,000 people who care for them. There is currently no treatment or cure, and it is San Diego’s third-leading cause of death.

The ride begins at the Alzheimer’s San Diego office in Kearny Mesa and includes an after party celebration at AleSmith Brewing Company.
