Alzheimer expert weighs in on Sandra Day O’Connor dementia announcement

SAN DIEGO (KUSI) – The first female justice on the US Supreme Court, Sandra Day O’Connor has announced that she is stepping out of the public eye because she has been diagnosed with dementia.

It is a disease she is very familiar with, in that her husband lived with Alzheimer’s for years before he died.

Alejandra Pulido, Care Consultant with the San Diego/Imperial chapter of the Alzheimer’s Association joined Good Morning San Diego to talk about the disease.
