2/16/19 Girl’s Water Polo: La Costa Canyon 7, San Dieguito Academy 6

A big crowd shows up for the Division III girls water polo title game between top seeded La Costa Canyon and second seeded San Dieguito Academy.

The Mustangs Sonia Rector scores her second goal to give San Dieguito a 5-3 lead with under 5 minutes left to play.

The Mavericks respond with 4 straight goals including this one from Myka Birchall.

Then Cara Bram shoots while under water and still manages to score an amazing goal! LCC comes from behind to win 7-6.

It’s the first CIF water polo title in school history for the Mavericks.
