2/29/20 Boys Basketball Division I Final: Santa Fe Christian 71, Carlsbad 58

Boys Division I championship on the campus of UCSD as the two seed Lancers of Carlsbad take on the top seed Santa Fe Christian.

Carlsbad’s Toby Harris opens the scoring as he hits the three from the baseline.

The Eagles respond with Sam Dudley; the son of the former NBA star Chris Dudley hitting the bucket and the foul as part of his 14 points.

Santa Fe puts the clamps on early on defense, as Hayden Gray gets the steal and the slam on the other end to extend the lead.

But Carlsbad wouldn’t be held down for long, as senior guard Jailen Nelson nets a game-high 26 points in the contest.

Eagles senior Saagar Dhanjani paces the top seed squad with a team-high 15 points, as Santa Fe Christian wins their third CIF title in four years with the 71-58 victory.
