2 Arco stations robbed by masked gunman within minutes of each other, possibly related

SAN DIEGO (KUSI) – Two Arco gas stations were robbed within minutes of each another Friday night, according to the San Diego Police Department. The first Arco holdup of the night was at an El Cerrito Station, Robert Heims of the SDPD said.

The suspect at the El Cerrito armed robbery was described as a Hispanic male standing 5 feet tall. The suspect wore a stocking cap and scarf over his face, and was wearing a beige shirt and blue jeans, according to Heims.

The second Arco holdup was at a station located at 3296 El Cajon Blvd. in Normal Heights, occurring shortly after 8 p.m. The gunman demanded money from the clerk at gunpoint before fleeing east on El Cajon Blvd. The suspect for this robbery was also described as a Hispanic male, approximately 5’9, with a medium build. The clerk described him as wearing a beige shirt and blue jeans, Heims said.
