2019 Footlocker Boys & Girls Cross Country Championships

At Morley Field in Balboa Park, Skyler Wallace of Sage Creek High School in Carlsbad is one of 40 girls in the country competing in the 41st annual Foot Locker Cross Country National Championships.

Previous winners of this 5,000 meter race include Olympians Meb Keflezighi and Kara Goucher.

In today’s race Zofia Dudek from Ann Arbor, Michigan wins the girls title with a finish time just 6 seconds off the course record.

Skyler Wallace finishes in 18 minutes, 15 seconds, good for 26th place over-all and the second best time among Western Region competitors.

Josh Methner from Mount Prospect, Illinois, wins the boys race finishing in 15:08:.8 more than 8 seconds in front of the second place finisher.
