2019 Harper Cup: UCSD 9, SDSU 5

It’s Senior Day at the SDSU Aquaplex where the Aztecs host UCSD in the 18th annual battle for the Harper Cup. In the second quarter former La Jolla Viking Sydney Boland lobs one into the top of the net for a 2-0 lead. Later it’s another former Viking Ciara Franke who breaks away and finds the corner of the net. The Tritons lead 6-0 at halftime.

In the third quarter, the Aztecs Shelby Kraft scores one of her three second half goals. But UCSD goalie Bennett Bugelli collects 14 saves including this penalty shot. She’s your MVP as the Tritons go on to win 9-5. They take the Harper Cup for the fourth straight time.
