2019 Miramar Air Show preview with Colonel Charles B. Dockery
(KUSI) – The 2019 Miramar airshow has been redesigned from the groud up and there are several new acts this year.
Commanding Officer of MCAS Miramar, Colonel Charles B. Dockery, visited Good Morning San Diego to discuss the air show.
These include: The Royal Air Force’s Red Arrows, The Red Bull Helocopter and Wing Suit Flyers, the USAF’s F-16 Viper Acrobatic Demo, and many more.
Also one of only two working B-29’s (the bomber that dropped the atom bombs in WWII) will be on the deck as a static display.
This year, organizers said they will take the opportunity to recognize the contributions and sacrifices of our first responders. “For decades, the Marine Corps has been “America’s 9-1-1 force” and that idea was built upon the deeds and service of countless men and women in our first responder communities. It is truly a moment for us to reflect alongside our local police, fire, and emergency medical heroes and honor them for what they do every single day.”
