3/3/2020 Boys Soccer: Santiago 2, Patrick Henry 1

In the first round of Division III Southern California Regional Soccer Championships, the Santiago Sharks from Corona, California, traveled to San Diego to take on the Patrick Henry Patriots.

Twenty three minutes into the game, the Sharks got on the board as Omar Lemus pokes it in with his left foot to give Santiago the 1-0 lead.

This one would remain scoreless until minutes were remaining in the second half when Michael Medina boots in the corner kick to Jacob Bear who then heads it to Uly Jimenez who scores the goal.

But right when this game looked like it was heading to overtime, the Sharks Cooper Clark puts it away to win the game for Santiago, they’ll go on to face Hart High School in the semifinal round of the CIF Southern California Regional Soccer Championships.
