3/30/19 Softball: Norco 5, Mater Dei 0

Mater Dei softball is ranked # 4 in the nation but today they hosted the # 1 ranked team in the nation, Norco from Riverside County.

Cougar and Oklahoma signee Kinzie Hansen shows why she is a top ten ranked player in the nation by hitting two one-run doubles and going 3 for 3 on the day.

In the sixth inning Crusader and UCLA signee Alyssa Garcia throws the runner out at second base, Garcia is also a top 10 player nationally. Mater Dei Lexi Sosa is also headed to UCLA.

On the mound Norco junior Sarah Willis throws a 3-hit shutout while striking out 6 batters, Cougars win 5-0. Both teams play in the 33rd Annual Carew Classic next week in Anaheim.
