3-year-old boy bitten by rattlesnake released from hospital, continues recovery

SAN DIEGO (KUSI) — The 3-year-old boy who was bitten by a rattlesnake was released Friday from Rady Children’s Hospital-San Diego.

Braden Roark was bitten by a Rattlesnake on April 12 on his knee. He was immediately admitted to the Intensive Care Unit of Rady Children’s and remained there until Friday.

According to the fundraiser page setup by the Roark family, the toddler faced many challenges and experience excruciating pain while recovering from the bite.

The fundraiser page is to help the family pay for the extensive medical bills.

"It will be a long time before Braden is healthy or even walking on his own, again. I have watched this family give true meaning to what is important, and I just want them to be whole and healthy, without additional struggles," Melyssa Roark said on the fundraiser page.
