38.5 pounds of marijuana seized during raid of alleged illegal marijuana dispensary in El Cerrito

SAN DIEGO (KUSI) — Police raided and shuttered an allegedly illegal El Cerrito-area marijuana dispensary Thursday. Narcotics unit personnel served a search warrant at Blvd Greens, 5549 El Cajon Blvd., about 7 a.m., SDPD Lt. Matt Novak said.

The officers impounded about 38.5 pounds of cannabis, various edible confections containing the drug and concentrated marijuana products, along with roughly $16,000 in cash, a pistol and transaction records.

The personnel also cited one employee for sales of marijuana and operating an illegal business, and arrested a second on suspicion of the same offenses in addition to violating a court order.

"The investigation is ongoing, and further charges against other individuals associated with the business may be sought," the lieutenant said.
