3rd Annual Women of Color ROAR Breakfast & Awards

SAN DIEGO (KUSI) – The 3rd annual Women of Color ROAR Breakfast will commemorate and to celebrate 100 years of milestones that range from women earning the right to vote to the enactment this year of Senate Bill 188, which bans discrimination on the basis of natural hairstyles such as cornrows, braids and dreadlocks.

Women of Color ROAR breakfast is an event created to celebrate Black women leaders and elected representatives. The mission is to inspire, support and empower women of color. Bringing our unique experiences and voice to leadership roles in our communities and our government, and connecting young women of color with mentors who will help support, nurture and prepare young women of color to run for office.

The 3rd Annual Women of Color ROAR Breakfast: Celebrating a Century of Milestones event this coming Saturday, Feb. 1, 7:30-10:30 a.m., at the Jacobs Center for Neighborhood Innovation, 404 Euclid Ave., in San Diego.
