Saturday Baseball in the Avocado West Conference, The Torrey Pines Falcons going for a sweep of a three game series against the Sage Creek Bobcats.

Top of the second, Torrey Pines Matthew Schlesener hits a bomb over center for a solo home run and a 1-0 lead.

Bottom of the third, Sage Creek’s Scott Anderson strikes hard for a double bringing the first two of a four run inning that ties the game 4-4.

In extra innings, top eighth, Mac Bingham doubles into center, bringing Jackie Plashkes home with the go ahead run.

On the mound, Matthew Schlesener throws the last two innings for the 7-4 win in eight innings.

The Falcons are now 3-0 in league and improve to 15-4 overall this season.
