4/19/18 Baseball: Mater Dei 1, Southwest 0

The Mater Dei Catholic Crusaders sent top-ranked Southwest SD back home with a 1-0 loss on Thursday afternoon.

Mater Dei got a fielder’s choice RBI ground-out from Sam Gonzalez in the bottom of the 5th inning, scoring Cameron Armas from 3rd base.

Ryan Flores made sure that run stood as the game-winner, pitching a complete game shutout; he strikes out 5 and only had 1 base on balls.
