4/3/18 Baseball: Mt. Carmel 3, Oceanside 2

The bats came alive in the 6th inning for Mount Carmel, as they come back from a 2-0 deficit to beat Oceanside 3-2, on Tuesday.

Pirates took the early 1-0 lead on a Damian Castro RBI groundout. Pitcher Antonio Escalante singled home another run in the top of the 6th to give the Pirates a 2-0 lead.

But in the bottom of the inning, Xhavier Caravetta singled home Chase Swendrowski to cut the lead to 2-1. Then Alek Dubney doubled to center field to bring in Caravetta and Taka Horton with the winning runs.

Escalante had held the Sundevils to 0 hits for 5 innings, getting 11 strikeouts during those 5 innings.
