5/17/19 Badminton: Serra 8, Patrick Henry 7

Over at Point Loma, Patrick Henry facing off against Serra for the CIF team badminton championship; Patrick Henry defeated Serra earlier in the season to win the league title.

The Patriots got the festivities started early in the boys singles matches; Alex Ho helping lead Patrick Henry to the clean sweep.

Serra returned the favor in the boys doubles, as the team of Tony Tran and Justin Benitez help the Q-Dawgs get on the board.

Linh Lam in the far court helps the Serra girls singles take three out four matches.

In the mixed doubles, the fans were treated to a back and forth affair between Serra’s Jonathan Ly & Annie Lee, and the Patriots’ Leon Taing & Athena Aguilar.

Serra wins the CIF championship by the final of 9-8.
