5/17/19 Baseball: Helix 2, Scripps Ranch 1

At Helix the Highlanders host Scripps Ranch in an Open Division elimination game.

In the top of the second, Falcon Steven Lancia hits a solo home run over the left field fence for a 1-0 lead.

Scripps Ranch has a chance to add a run in the 4th when Helix shortstop Alonzo Richardson makes the bare handed pick and on-target throw to save a run.

With the game tied in the bottom of the 7th, Highlander Carlos Oquita takes ball four with the bases loaded; Ayden Estrada scores.

Helix survives 2-1 on the walk-off-walk; Scripps Ranch finishes the seeason at 18-11-1.
