5/18/19 Girls Lacrosse: Patrick Henry 15, Our Lady of Peace 9

The first of three CIF girls lacrosse championship games Saturday saw the third-seed Our Lady of Peace Pilots taking on the top seed Patrick Henry Patriots for the Division II title.
Patrick Henry scored early and often in the first half, as sophomore Jasmine Lawson opened the scoring just minutes into the contest. She would finish with a team-high four goals.
Senior teammate Libby Swanson would also find the back of the net early to help pace the Patriot attack.
But OLP would not be denied, as standout senior Bailey Gehler would get her side on the board to help cut the deficit at the break to 10-2.
The halftime speech must have been a good one for Our Lady of Peace, as they would end up outscoring Patrick Henry 7-5 after intermission. Gehler would end up leading all scorers with five goals in the contest.
But the first half Patriot surge would prove to be too much to overcome for OLP, as Patrick Henry senior Lauren Gygax puts a bow on her high school career with a team-high four goals in the win.
The Patriots take home the Division II title with a 15-9 victory.
