5/25/19 Softball: Mater Dei 5, Rancho Bernardo 1

Mater Dei faces Rancho Bernardo in the CIF Open Division finals.

In the 3rd, Mater Dei’s Gisele “Gigi” Gonzalez hits a 3-run homer to put the Crusaders up 5-0. Then in the 7th, Lexi Sosa gets the last batter Malea Maynard to ground out to first & end the game 5-1. Sosa pitched a complete 7 innings, allowing 1 run on 5 hits.

Mater Dei is the champion.
