At Bonita Vista, Rita Palet delivers a very special ceremonial first pitch to her son Josh in honor of her son Jake, who was only 20 years old when he passed away just before the start of the season.

To the game highlights; the Barons Michael Barajas singles to left driving home two runs as Bonita Vista takes the lead over Chula Vista.

Then it’s Isaac Almendarez driving home two more runs for the home team extending the lead to four.

The next batter, Bubba Villegas hits one over the left field fence for a 3-run homer; manager Dave Palet gives him a high five on the way to home plate.

The Barons score 11 runs in the second inning on their way to a 16-3 victory.

It’s their sixth win in a row on an emotional day for the Palet family.
