5/9/19 Softball: Rancho Bernardo 11, Poway 1

Two of the San Diego section’s top softball teams meet at Poway Lakes; a nice touch honoring both the Rancho Bernardo and the Poway High seniors before tonight’s game between these rivals.

In the bottom of the 3rd, Lady Titan Sophia Real hits one over the left fielder head for a double; Nora Ward scores to tie the game at 1-1.

To the 4th, Lady Bronco Heather Menzer singles to center; Bailey Langford scores for a 2-1 lead.

Then Christina Sugimoto singles to right driving home Menzer; Rancho Bernardo goes on to win 11-1 and claim the Palomar North League title.
