737 MAX 8 Safety

SAN DIEGO (KUSI) – Boeing is facing safety questions about its 737 MAX 8 jets after this weekend’s deadly crash in Ethiopia.

The 737 MAX 8 is the company’s bestselling passenger-jet, but it’s now been involved in two deadly crashes in less than five months.

In October, a 737 MAX 8 flown by Lion Air went down off the coast of Indonesia, killing 189 people.

Both crashes are now being investigated, and safety officials will be looking at a possible connection.

Boeing has presented no evidence to suggest the two disasters are linked. This has air travelers all over the world on edge.

Aviation expert and retired Air Force and airline pilot Bill Hensley joined KUSI News to answer some of the safety questions about the Boeing 737 MAX 8.
