8/6/19 Little League: Sweetwater Valley 15, Utah 2

It’s win or go home for Sweetwater Valley in San Bernardino as they take on Utah.

Top of the second, Sweetwater’s Daniel Sanchez hits a grounder that scores Alesssandro Catano for a 3-0 lead.

Top of the third, Josh Hughes singles on a ground ball to right; Catano and Andrew Arnce score for a 6-0 Sweetwater lead.

Top of the fifth with one on, Hughes clears right for a two run home run extending Sweetwater Valley’s lead to 10-2.

Later in the fifth, Ryan Garcia singles on a ground ball to right; Sanchez scores and it’s 11-2 Sweetwater.

Hughes closes it out on the mound as Sweetwater Valley wins 15-2; they’ll face Sunnyside Little League out of Tucson in the next round.
