86-year-old pedestrian struck by SUV
SAN DIEGO (CNS) – A woman backing a SUV out of her North Park driveway ran into an 86-year-old pedestrian Saturday.
The victim was walking along the west side of 33rd Street near Landis Street shortly before 8:30 a.m. when he was struck by the woman’s 2014 Jeep, San Diego police Officer Frank Cali said. He fell to the ground and fractured his hip, Cali said.
The injured man was taken to a hospital to be treated. Cali said the motorist, who is in her 20s, was not suspected of drunken driving.
