A big day for Aztecs; Kawhi to be honored while 2020 team last undefeated in nation

SAN DIEGO (AP) — Kawhi Leonard will become the first San Diego State player to have his jersey retired when the No. 7 Aztecs honor him Feb. 1 during a game against Utah State.

The Aztecs media relations department releasing this statement…

“A starter in 69 of the 70 games he played, Leonard is one of just three Aztecs in the 99-year history of the program to average a double-double for his career. He ranks 10th on the program’s list for consecutive starts with 64 and appears on the top-20 charts in efficiency points, efficiency average and points-rebounds-assists.”

Alabama handed No. 4 Auburn its first loss of the season with an 83-64 rout. The Crimson Tide led wire-to-wire over their in-state rival. The Tigers had a miserable shooting night and left No. 7 San Diego State as the nation’s last unbeaten team.
