Acclaimed violinist Stefan Jackiw makes his San Diego debut

SAN DIEGO (KUSI) – Acclaimed violinist Stefan Jackiw is making his San Diego debut  on February 21st and 23rd.

He will be performing Beethoven’s Violin Concerto alongside Rafael Payare and the San Diego Symphony.

In 2012, Jackiw fell while running in Central Park, injuring a nerve in his neck that ran down both arms and hands. He couldn’t hold a bow for more than 30 minutes or even get through a simple scale without losing coordination in his left hand. He wasn’t sure he would ever play again, but he fully recovered and returned to the concert stage stronger than ever.
