Adopt Skylark from the Greyhound Adoption Center

Skylark is a 4-year-old retired greyhound residing at the Greyhound Adoption Center in El Cajon. She was rescued from a racetrack in January with a handful of other Greyhounds, and they were all named after streets in La Jolla, CA! Skylark cannot live in a home with cats or tiny dogs but would enjoy a canine playmate in the 30 pound range. Skylark is an active, inquisitive, loving greyhound and would do very well in a busy home with older, respectful children.

All dogs from the Greyhound Adoption Center have a complete medical evaluation, are spayed or neutered, microchipped, and undergo a thorough dental cleaning. They are then fully evaluated for temperament and personality as well as tested with cats, small dogs, and young children before being profiled for a home.

Please come out and meet Skylark and 45 other adoptable hounds on Sunday, March 18, 2018, when the Greyhound Adoption Center hosts an Open House and tour of their facility from 1:00 – 3:00 PM. The address is 4821 Dehesa Road in El Cajon. This is a great opportunity to learn more about the breed, greyhound rescue, rehabilitation, adoption and volunteer opportunities. Also, celebrate St. Patrick’s Day on Saturday March 17 with GAC at BNS Brewing & Distilling at 10960 Wheatlands Ave. in Santee from 4:00 – 7:00 PM. All two and four legged friends are welcome (not just Greyhounds!). There will be a live band, raffle, and a food truck! For more information call toll free at 1-877-478-8364, visit their website at www.houndsavers.org.
