Adopt “Walden” from the Greyhound Adoption Center

SAN DIEGO (KUSI) – Two year old WALDEN is a retired greyhound residing at the Greyhound Adoption Center in El Cajon.  He arrived with several others (Firewire, Pyzel, McTavish, Panda, and Vulcan) on May 26, 2018 from the Caliente racetrack in Mexico.

This intake was given a Surfboard theme for their names.  Walden is an energetic two year old and would do best in a home with older children due to his enthusiasm.  This happy-go-lucky boy can live with a cat and smaller dogs over 30 pounds.

All dogs from the Greyhound Adoption Center have a complete medical evaluation, are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and undergo a thorough dental cleaning.  They are then fully evaluated for temperament and personality as well as tested with cats, small dogs, and young children before being profiled for a home.

Please come out and meet Walden and his 45 companions on Sunday, November 18, 2018 when the Greyhound Adoption Center hosts an Open House and tour of their facility from 1:00 – 3:00 PM.  The address is 4821 Dehesa Road in El Cajon.

This is a great opportunity to learn more about the breed, greyhound rescue, rehabilitation, adoption, and volunteer opportunities.  Private tours may be arranged by appointment.
