PREVIEW
The Week 8 the Jack in the Box Alarm Clock Pep Rally game takes us to Grossmont High School. The Foothillers will be hosting Steele Canyon in a Grossmont Hills league battle.
Grossmont is undefeated this season with a 6-0 record. A big part of that is an offense that averages 30 points a game. They are lead by Senior running back Jake Harr and Junior quarterback Hunter Gaines. Senior Kahleed Davis has caught nine touchdown passes for the Foothillers in 2015 as well as two punt returns for touchdowns. Gaines left last week’s shutout victory over El Capitan after a tough hit that injured his back.
Regardless of Gaines availability the 3-3 Cougars will be ready to battle. They are coming of a tough loss to Helix that puts the Cougars at the bottom of the league. The Cougars are led by sophomore QB Thomas Fishburne. The Steele Canyon rush game can also be a challenge. Senior Pierre Alexander and Malcolm Anders helping to get them to their even record. In order to get the win over Grossmont they will need to play perfect football.
Grossmont will be celebrating their homecoming. Highlights of the game can be seen on the Prep Pigskin Report at 10:30 on Friday night.
