Alec Baldwin formally charged with involuntary manslaughter

SANTA FE (KUSI) – The actor Alec Baldwin was formally charged with involuntary manslaughter in the fatal shooting on the set of “Rust”.

The weapons specialist, Hannah Gutierrez-Reed, was also given the same charge after a prop gun went off in Baldwin’s hand and killed cinematographer Halyna Hutchins.

The death of Hutchins has spurred new safety precautions in the film industry.
