Almost all San Diego school districts expected to fall short of financial obligations

SAN DIEGO (KUSI) – Recent reports from the San Diego County Office of Education show nearly every San Diego school district will be spending more than it can afford within the next two years.

All but one of the 42 school districts in the county has shown deficits of spending exceeding budget and revenue.

In its letters, the county office advised several districts to make budget cuts soon, and cautioned districts about using money from reserve accounts.
