Ambassador Appointee Papa Doug Manchester provides relief and aid for the Bahamian people

SAN DIEGO (KUSI) – President Donald Trump’s choice for U.S. Ambassador to the Bahamas, “Papa Doug” Manchester traveled to the islands to see the damage from Hurricane Dorian firsthand.

Papa Doug left on Saturday, Sept. 7 from San Diego directly to the Bahamas to help with aid. He visited children at the shelters, delivered 2,000 pounds of food, medical supplies and goods from the Florida to the Bahamian people.

President Trump took to Twitter to thank the Ambassador Appointee for his trip to the Bahamas:

Papa Doug is coordinating a major campaign in the private sector to provide relief and aid for the Bahamian people is encouraging everyone to get involved. He was at KUSI to talk about it.
