America’s Santa and The Grinch to visit San Diego veterans at Father Joe’s Veterans Lunch

SAN DIEGO (KUSI) – Santa Claus will visit with our nation’s veterans at the Father Joe’s Villages Veterans Lunch at the Joan Kroc Center on Thursday, January 16 at 11:00 am. The Spirit of Liberty Foundation‘s America’s Santa will wear his traditional Army camouflage Santa suit with white fur as he has worn visiting troops around the world.

America’s Santa and his “colleague” The Grinch, will give each Veteran a “good luck” two-dollar bill which features Thomas Jefferson, author of the Declaration of Independence on the front. The back of the bill features the famous painting of the Declaration of Independence.

These bills are not commonly found in circulation and having one is considered very good luck. If Santa and The Grinch can join forces to honor our homeless veterans, surely all Americans can do the same.

“This year these historic $2 bills are imprinted with a colorful special Santa’s holiday salute to our veterans,” says Spirit of Liberty Foundation founder Richard Rovsek. “Each bill, while having a $2 face value, will be honored by participating local businesses for goods and services in amounts of $5 and $10.”
