Annual Balboa Park Holiday Food Truck Festival underway
SAN DIEGO (KUSI) – The annual Holiday Food Truck Festival in Balboa Park got underway Thursday and runs through Monday, featuring gourmet offerings served up by more than a dozen San Diego food trucks.
Food trucks will be open for business from noon until 7 p.m. each day.
Besides great dining choices, attendees will enjoy live performances by different musical groups from 4 to 7 p.m. daily in the Plaza. Featured evening performers include the Carmen Murray Jazz Trio Thursday evening, Finnegan Blue on Friday, Theo and the Zydeco Patrol on Saturday, Sue Palmer on Sunday and the Bayou Brothers on Monday.
A rotating selection of games and activities will also be offered on the Plaza de Panama, including giant checkers, hula hoops, bowling and giant tumbling blocks, with the dazzling holiday light display in Balboa Park as a backdrop.
